Thank you for your interest in hosting a Making the Connections workshop. We are delighted to serve you! Making the Connections is an in-service training workshop that equips teachers to design and implement lesson plans incorporating biblical worldview components with any subject matter, at any grade level, using any curriculum. this workshop is held at individual schools or combinations of schools on an invitational basis. Below you will find necessary information if you choose to host a live MtC workshop at your school. It is important to you and to us that we make this event a success for all! The Biblical Worldview Institute provides:
- Approximately 6 hours of quality instructional training by our instructor
- Travel expenses and lodging for the instructor
- Leader Kit for the Host Organization which includes:
- Leader’s Guide
- 2 Instructional DVD’s
- Making the Connections Text
- Making the Connections Participant Guide
- Materials for each participant written by Dr. Christian Overman and Don Johnson, to include:
- Making the Connections Text
- Making the Connections Participant Guide
- Rights to copy the “BWI Planner” for individual personal use
- Promotional materials for the Hosting Organization to use, such as posters and flyers
- LCD projector and portable speakers
- Web links to web pages that describe the course content, as well as related information about Making the Connections workshop
The Hosting Organization provides:
- Promotion and Registration: A staff person or Host, who will work with the Biblical Worldview Institute to coordinate details such as: promoting of the event, confirming registration of participants, and distributing conference materials to participants
- Facility: The Hosting Organization will provide a facility to accommodate the number of participants. It is important that the room be able to be darkened, as this greatly enhances the PowerPoint presentation and video clips
- Equipment: A large screen for projecting PPT slides, a lapel mic, a boom mic to augment the portable speakers or the capacity to link the laptop to the house system.
- Financial Matters: The cost is $45.00 per person for 50 or more participants (plus travel expenses); $55 per person for 30-49 participants (plus travel expenses); $65 per person for 20-29 participants (plus travel expenses); for 20 participants or less, we charge a flat fee of $1350 (plus travel expenses). We encourage schools to join together to reduce the individual cost.
